Frequently Asked Questions
Must I Aqiqah 2 goats for a son?
It is a Sunnah of our Prophet Sollallahu ‘alaihi wasallam to Aqiqah 2 goats for a son. However, if you wish to Aqiqah 1 goat first and another 1 at another time, this is also possible. To order 2 goats, simply change the Quantity to 2 for the Aqiqah package of your choice during registration.
Will you collect and bury the Umbilical Cord and Placenta (Uri) on the same day?
We will usually collect and bury on the same day or latest by the following day. However, if you order outside operating hours, you will have to keep the Uri in your freezer first. We will then contact you on the next working day, to arrange time of collection. Our operating hours are Mondays to Fridays, 10.30 am to 6.30 pm excluding Public Holidays..
My child is grown up already. Can I still do Aqiqah for him/her?
Aqiqah can be done for the child even if it is after many years.
Do also refer to Asatizah who are proficient in Fiqh.
How long is the Tahnik and Cukur Rambut session?
Depending on the Ustaz who will be attending to you, it will usually take between 30 to 60 minutes long.
What is the amount to be donated after shaving of hair? Is this amount included in the fees? Where can I donate this amount?
The amount ranges around $160. This is calculated per gram based on the price of gold. This amount is not included in the fees. You can donate this amount to a close relative who is in need or go to any mosque counter. You can also pass this amount to the Ustaz and he will donate it for you.
If I wish to do Aqiqah for all my kids , I have two sons aged 9&5 and two daughters aged 8 & 4 and one newborn (16 days old), can I do together with one cow?
The cow is considered to have 7 portions. 1 boy is considered 2 portions and 1 girl is 1 portion. You may consider doing Aqiqah of 1 cow and 1 goat instead.
My child is not born yet. Can I register first?
Yes, you can register for all the services that you wish to engage in one registration. Simply leave out the details that are not available yet such as Name of Newborn and Date of Birth. You will receive an email after registration. Upon birth, simply reply to that email the required details and then make payment. We will update you following that.

What is the maximum age of a newborn if I want to engage Tahnik and Cukur Rambut?
Our Ustaz will attend to babies who are at most 3 months old. This is because if they are any older, they will fidget and it becomes very difficult to shave the hair.
What should I do with the small part of the remains of the Umbilical Cord attached to the baby’s belly button once it has fall off?
The remains of the Umbilical Cord will dry and eventually fall off the newborn around one week after birth.
It is a Sunnah to bury it in the ground as it is a part of the human body, out of reach from people or animals.
It doesn’t have to wrapped. Simply dig a small hole in the soil ground using a metal spoon, put it in, then fill back the hole with soil.
